Knight Riders In Easy Win Over Invaders

On an overcast Sunday afternoon Knight Riders won the toss against Invaders and immediately asked them to take first strike. The opening bowlers were very accurate and after six overs they were twenty seven for two.


The second change bowlers T. Hardial and M. Singh were almost unplayable. Backed by some superb catching and fielding at the half way mark, they were forty eight for seven. On the resumption they were bowled out for sixty six in seventeen overs.


Vijay Ramdass top score with sixteen, Winston Valladers, C. Chand and D. Persaud had eight runs each. There were fourteen extras. For Knight Riders T. Hardial took four for thirteen, Alvin Seemadray three for seven and A. Singh two four fourteen.


In reply Knight Riders were able to knock off the runs in six overs for the loss of two wickets. K. Hardial continued his rich form by hitting fifty one not out with the aid of seven sixes and two fours. Powan Luckhoo contributed eleven not out.

Knight Riders Beat Flasherz B To Stake Claim For Playoff Spot

On a humid Sunday afternoon Flashers B won the toss and invited Knight Riders to take first strike. Knight Rider’s young Kevin Hardial once again opened the batting and after five overs Knight Riders were struggling at twenty four for two. Kevin was joined by his captain A. Singh and together they added one hundred runs in a power hitting third wicket stand.


A. Singh was caught in the thirteenth over for thirty one and was followed next ball by Kevin Hardial who was bowled for a well played ninety two. His knock was made off forty two deliveries and contained twelve sixes and three four. In the second match in this 30 Over Cup competitions Kevin Hardial scored one hundred and seventeen runs against Falcons.


Eventually Knight Riders were bowled out for two hundred made in twenty overs. Other useful contributions were made by Joseph Jerrick who made twenty five and fifteen each by Alvin Seemadray and M. Hassan. Bowling for Flashers B Avinash took five for fifty six and Rabin Sookraj had three for twenty one.


When Flashers B took their turn at the wicket they found batting tough and were bowled out for one hundred and seven in seventeen overs. Andrew contributed twenty five, Rajiv twenty and Kevin seventeen. For Knight Riders M. Singh took five for seventeen in four overs and T. Hardial three for eight in three overs.
