Shazam Mohamed solid batting carry Nation Warriors into playoffs

Nation Warriors won the toss versus Port Mourtant All-Stars and Shazam Mohamed continue his good form with the bat and blasted a top score of 125 not out. After Nation Warriors won the toss and elected to bat and open their innings with Shazam Mohamed and Faraz Mohamed. Faraz was bowled by Dalipchand Bhikhi in the seventh over for a well-made 57 runs.


The new batsman Devendra Shamnarine kept the runs flowing at a steady pace and was soon run out for 24. While Shazam played a more solid role and played every ball by its merit while putting away the bad balls. He stayed to the end and finish with 125 not out in a total of 269 for 3 after 25 overs. Shazam knock included 10 maximum and 8 fours, he got good support from Waykenand Singh with 20 and Captain Ganesh Sankar scored 26 not out. Dalipchand Bhikhi was the only successful bowler for Port Mourtant All-Stars with 2 for 49 of five overs.


When Port Mourtant All-Stars took the crease they will only muster 116 for 8 in their allotted 25 overs.  Ajay Harryman top score with 33 and Ricky Radhakishun 32, Gobin Jagdeo, Waykenand Singh and Faraz Mohamed claimed 2 wickets each for the victory.
